Vaccum advance ==> Boost reatard

I cant seem to get ahold of a diagram on how the vaccum advance on the stock 12a dizzy works in detail

I figured there might be a way to convert the stock dizzy to boost retard though. to help solve some problems that want to go carbie-turbo without a retard box/or finding a 12at dizzy

any thoughts/flames/comments

whatever, looking hard in my Haynes manual,

What if you were to set the the timing at 4k (so that the mechanical is completely advanced) with full vacume (from a hand held pump) on the vacume diaphram. That way when there is little vacume in the manifold the vacume advance relaxes, retarding the timing.
