got my order from SiliconeIntakes.com. I am very happy, whole project took not even an hour and for about $175; the price is right. Also I got some pics of the Acadia headlights. And I said headlights, not headlamps.
I got these at work for $50. An old Journeyman tech that works next to me had a headlight replacement on one of these months back, some hazing or something of the lens. He turned them into warranty and waited for GM to clear it for return and got them back from parts. Cut them open and pulled out the lens assembly. I was pretty ******* jealous of the idea and opportunity. Anyways, I asked him the other day if he still had'em and offered $50 for the set.
great deal if you ask me.
My plan is to fit a stainless rolled exhaust tip over each one to seal it up and paint black all but the front 10mm or so. Fitting adjusters and the electric linear motor is gonna be tricky, but should look super clean and simple.

Finished running the oil cooler lines. Turned out as expected, but I need to order an additional pair of line spreaders and maybe add a bit of support.
Also started my attempt at running customer radiator hoses. Not going as smoothly as planned; the shape and size of the hoses I need is really tricky. Luckily the guys at my local Napa and O'Riellys have been helpful, it will just take some time to get the right fit.
I'm also using a "Chevy Style" radiator, so the lower fitting is 1.75, instead of 1.5 on the rest of the system, which is complicating things.
Anyways, here's some pics of the completed oil lines, hopefully Ill have some completed radiator hoses tomorrow.

all stainless pipe, t-bolt clamps and silicone hoses came from siliconeintakes.com which I highly recommend. there stuff looks great, has no labels or decals on it, and the price is also really good.
all the stainless braided line and nickel plated AN fitting are Summit Racing brand stuff, with the exception of some of the larger 180deg fittings, which are Russel. I have worked with a couple different brands and I really like the Summit stuff, good price, easy to assemble, and the price is right. Also, the nickle plated stuff still look brand new after you assemble, less of a worry of mucking up the anodized finish on the red and blue.
and the oil cooler is somewhat of a fitment issue. I had it mounted like that with the original TII swap when I did it some 8 years ago. Just sort of came together like that.
Thanks for all the great comments you guys.

Sorry about my mistake earlier, I meant just the headlight assembly - like you have pictured.
So you're going to mount them with an adjuster, for correcting the angle right? Makes perfect sense in the FB, plus the idea of changing the angle of the beam trajectory makes awesome sense in a custom job.
And by the linear motor are you referring to the motor that lifts the lights up and down found in the FB? I don't remember if the Acadia is among the type where there's a motor to switch between low and high beam, I'd doubt it since there's two lenses.
Just curious, and anticipating how you're going to put it together. Looks awesome so far!

a linear motor is sort of like a hydralic ram, except its electric. its just a rod that extends or retracks based on the polarity it receives.
google "12v linear motor" and you'll see what Im talking about. the only tricky part is they are not adjustable in there travel (at least not without costing a ton). So there position and angle needs to be perfect.

I have to ask why you didn't flip the oil coler around and have the lines run on the drivers side instead of over to the passenger side? Seems like the distance would be shorter. You might have been able to run the engine output line over the top this way and not have a loop and then a 180 degree fitting. The reason i ask is becuase I fought with mine. Nice work by the way.

I already had it mounted like this from when I originally did the motor swap like a decade ago. I was 17/18yo, and didn't think things out like I do now.
got the radiator hoses mostly finished up. need to order another clamp for the lower and fit a support bracket or something but the hard part is over. I went to three different parts stores until i found hoses that worked. Its not perfect, but easily modified if I find something better later on.

nothing too crazy this time. got the oil line run for the turbo, with some new billet AN adapters for the turbo. Unfortunately, the Straight 10AN fitting I ordered for the drain ended up being a 8AN, gotta get a replacement from summit. I also mounted the old clutch hydralics quick for reference. I will be installing all new stuff, painted, and with a new hardline. I just needed to check clearance on the firewall.

I'd love to see the car sometime man, I'm making headway on my own build as it is and would love to see how you did that radiator mount. I plan on going V-Mount in my build as well this time around and your work is fantastic. Keep up the good work!

Car should be on the road some time around June, but there will be substantial "shake-down" as this has been a very long project. First official debut will be at the car show my work hold in early august.
Previously it has been called the "good-guys" show at Brookdale Chevrolet in Brooklyn ctr, but I know they are changing it up this year and its supposed to be much larger.
