US Spec interiors
guys, can someone post some pics of your US interiors for me, Im down in australia, so yeah.
but I am interested in the SA series mainly, as that is what I have, but the FBs would be nice to see too
basically what I am after is pics of the guages and the 'storage bins'?? thwt go where my back seat is.
dont ask me why, i would just like to put a MPH speedo etc. in my car, as for some reason I prefer measuring my speed in miles rather than kilometres.

Well for some reason I want a brown back seat to replace my bins, I dont know why. Oh wait...Yes I do. Its because I hate them, and dont use them anyway.

no one ever wants to sit in the back cus its near imposable if ur over 5 foot tall so i use mine for storing all my crap anyways..
mine were brown untill i sprayed em black.
If they werent black Id think about it. I really do want the seats though. Id never put a person back there, I just dont like the bins, and I have a sub box there anyway, but I think Im going to redo it. So if I put a back seat it that would be cool.

I remember when looking for interior parts for my SA, finding the parts I needed for mine was hard to do, most time the seat styles and the door panels WERE ALWAYS different from car to car, so I dunno whats up there?

I love my back seats. Even though they are impratical for anyone over 14yrs old and over 5ft to sit in (or lie in for over 10mins) I think they are cool, I just use em for laying stuff on, basically, they are my boot, as my hatch is filled with a 12" subwoofer.
Hey Rota-Motor, where abouts are you in Adelaide?
As for the gauge differences in US vs Aus and UK, I think the main thing is the layout, but I'm pretty sure they have the same gauges, just set out differently.
Anyone have a gear boot cover they dont need? my clips on mine have been broken off so my plastic cover cant clip under and secure, it looks crap inside because of it!

When I was little, my mom had an '84 GSL
Since she was a sngle parent, and I was a single child so only having two seats wasn't a problem. After she re-married we had to get the backseat installed.
Now im in a similar situation. Since Sarita and I have a baby on the way, I'm having to install a backseat in my '85 GSL-SE

from the pic, even the lefthand drive cars seem top have the same layout as the aussie cars, just MPH speedo am I right?
so who actually has one they are parting out, would love gthe guage cluster, pref the 78/79 I think it is with the white on black, as I dont really like the orange illumination, and also all yellow front bumper indicators for steel bumpers, and maybe a pair of rear seat replacement storage bins
and I still want some more pics so I can see what exactly it all looks like, esp. the bins
Mr_Rc7_Au, yeah Im in Adelaide, down near the port.

lol
what do you mean all yellow for the front? Steel bumper, like on a 79? If you have some that are like have clear and half yellow, iwould like some of those, hehe....
I think SAVANNAH badges would be bitching also

and the storage compartments, are non exsistant on 79/80 over here in the us.... they just have a sheet metal cover, but you could EASILY make your own!
Im gonna make my own rear seat, or put the 240sx seat out of my 79, into the 80....
Well, i will try to barrow my sisters camera to get some pics fer ya!!!!!
Laterz, Andrew
PS, try to get some pics of your car, and your blinkers...
You can get SAVANNAH badges from Mantis's website... I think he had them there for about $20 US.
Good luck trying to find an 79/80 cluster Rota Motor.... I'm looking lately for new air vent guides, new holders for my sunvisors and a new gear boot holder (with clips!)..... do you know any good wrecking places besides the mainstream ones down near Wingfield etc.
Have you got an custom plate on the rx7? if so let me know and I'll get an eye out for ya
