Update Photos after 16 years of Work

Hello All! I wanted to share some recent photos as I have been back to work on the RX7 this winter. I swapped out the suspension to GSLSE to allow for a few more wheel options. Also upgraded the front springs to allow for more clearance for the wider front wheels. Removed, cleaned and replaced AC components and now the AC rocks. Looking forward to seeing how it does this summer under the Florida sun. I have been chipping away at this car for 16 years. Its almost complete. I still want to put the cruise control back on it and make the wind shield fluid spray functional again this spring. Then my dream RX7 will be done! I have been lurking on this forum in the back ground for years. This forum is such a great place to get ideas and find others with details and tips on how to modify just about anything on a RX7. Thank you to all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice work dude. Not sure about the steering wheel and shifter. And that TV has got to go.

But the rest is excellent.

Does the antenna go up and down?

Thanks guys. To answer a few questions yes the antenna goes up and down. The car must have been on when I took that photo. And the "TV" is a touch screen DVD, navigation etc.. It retracts into the dash when not in use. What and where is DGRR?

Thumbs up

DGRR is Deals Gap Rotary Rally.... Some info below about it.
It's April 24-27th.
This year will be my fifth year attending.

DGRR was founded in 2005. Since it's inception, it has grown to become the largest rotary meet on the east cost, with more than 300 participants, in rotary cars, trucks, motorcycles, go-carts, dune-buggies, and boats. You never know what you'll see at DGRR!

That's beautiful, the modern touches set on the old school frame work perfectly together imo. I might have gone a differant route on the wheels but other than that she's a sexy little lady.

If the TV hides away and the antenna goes up and down, I suppose I could get used to the steering wheel, shifter and ebrake handle.

In fact, they actually look really good once you get used to them.

And the workmanship is first class, nice job!

We do hope you can make it up to DGRR this year, it would be great to see your car (and you) in person!

What kind of paint did you use on the center console? That 3-gauge filler spot you made is awesome - top notch craftsmanship!

Thanks for the compliments ioTus. That was a nice project. Although I cant take credit for originality. I cant remember the name of the forum member that I stole the idea from but it has been done before. Here are a few pics of the paint I used. And yes those are the Techno Toy Tuning coil overs. Nice quality parts! I hear they have other custom parts in the works for these cars.
