Update to my "One less SA on the roads" post

which can be seen here with the backstory https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/one-less-sa-roads-609773/
cliffs: was cutoff while driving, couldnt avoid collision, smashed up front end

Well after avoiding the car for a while because I was bummed about it I finally just went out and started working on it. Used a chain to pull the core support out and straightened the font frame horns. Got a new header panel and made my own bumper for the front. Its still not straight and perfect, but I may be repainting it as a winter project and will fix that.

It needed a new radiator, which was the only mechanical problem with it. After all this was done I took it racing

after a few events I realized (got fed up with) the $25 tires I bought to get it back on the road and replaced them with 205/60/13 Advan A048 R-compounds. I love these tires and they made the car 2734523754 times more fun to drive.

I did a bunch more events and have been having a blast with it. The car sat for 8 years before I bought it and it has been 100% reliable since I got it, even with the 60+ 45-60 second autox runs it has on it this year. I finally decided to do a little upgrading/prep for a trackday and put all new steering parts (tie rods, idler arm, bushings, etc..), brakes (Hawk HP+ pads, new rotors, wheel bearings, braided lines), and Konis. The brakes made a huge improvement and I cant wait to try them out.
