Maybe you should send it to Robert and see what he thinks of it. Possibly the carb brothers missed something he knows.

Well they do have special schools for children with special needs. So, just consider your carb one of these children. Put it on the short bus to where it needs to go.

All in All, your just a guy trying to get your car running with boost. The carb seems to be leaving you hanging. I dont know what deal you have with the carb brothers (just using this for short if it offends i will stop) or how much you paid for it. It seems like your ready to put it on the shelf. I'm not trying to push buttons, but from what I read they gave you a heavily modded carb, that flow superior to a stock nikki. Your fuel system is up to par but your still stuck with a car that doesnt boost right. I believe this is the first one they have made and unfortunately needs a little more R&D time. At least at a minimum it needs to be put on a dyno with a wideband and played with the see whats going on. I'm about 90% sure your running lean with the engine symptoms you have described. But the bubble in your float bowls you were talking about before might be the reason its lean and not jetting.

Not to start WWIII but I notice Robert isnt getting into this thread. All I want to say is get the help/expertise you need to get your car running if you have to hurt someones pride by stepping on some toes. Too bad. I'm absolutely sure that everyone can agree we just want your car to run great in the end. Can I get a AMEN, cause im done preaching

seanrot, lol, if you were here i would shake your hand. what you said is completely true. this carb from what i hear will need a whole lot more R & D. it took robert a couple years to make the nikki act awesome for boost. it makes sense that carl wouldn't hit it on the first try. supposedly there is ALOT more than just changing the floats and keeping it from leaking. when i get a chance to talk to carl i will explain things to him. i guess you can't simulate load on a flowbench. carl really will need to get a 12a boosted near where he is. it will take forever if i keep sending this back to him for more work and that's alot of stress on us both. i am moving in about a month as well. i was ready with dyno time to start seeing what this carb could do. and maybe later when they get the bugs worked out, something could still come of this. i thought i was mainly going to have to worry about tuning and pressures. i thought he tested it for leaks and boost capability. BUT this information i will give him about this prototype will definitely help him towards getting it right. carl is a very very smart and innovated (sp?) person. he really knows air flow and soon may know pressure oh and about Robert from rotaryshack; i should have my new carb from him in about a week. and then i'll be on the dyno anyways and we'll see what a stock port 12a can do!

p.s. sean.... here's your AMEN BROTHAAAAAAA wooooo woooooOOOOOOOOO!

Hey, no offense taken. I applaud your efforts and all the help you got. As I stated, Im not anything near a knoweledgeable person on turbo setups. I understand the theory, went to school for Teledyne Continental on Turbochargers (aviation engines), but by no means do I have the experience to get you out of this. I want you to have a good running car, bottom line. If Roberts carb will get you going, then get it. Send me back the carb and I'll refund all your money, no worries man. I'm sorry you went thru all this for nothing.

tjgosurf, I was trained to work on all engines used in airplanes, however I only work on jets.

Thanks Zacness! We gave it a good effort (mostly you). Answer my pm and we'll get things squared away with refunding your money and getting the carb back here so I can figure out what I did wrong (along with Sterlings help this time). And this thread serves no purpose anymore so I am locking it to avoid anymore friction.
