Unused button slots on FB Dash?
I was adjusting my dimmer switch for my dash and noticed that there are two unused slots in between the dimmer and the steering column, one is circle and the other is rectangle. I was wondering what these buttons were originally used for on the stock 84 rx-7. What original options is my car lacking?

Trunk release on my 84 is next to the fuel door release. Rectangular slot....hmmmmm. I do know the round was for manual choke cuz I had it. The rectangular slot I know but can not remember. I do not think it was fog lights though, don't remember those being an option.

electric trunk release, like the fc's? My trunck button is next to the gas door release. On that note...did the Fbs have a power trunk or are all the wires wraped around the hydrolic pole for the rear wiper? Just wondering because my friends 88 10th A has a power rising trunk lid. Or was that new in 86?

Left side of steering wheel:
Left to Right: (top) vent open/close lever, square blank, light dimmer, choke, trunk release. (bottom) two blanks.
Right of steering wheel:
Left to Right: blank, 12v outlet
These pictures were taken 3 minutes ago and are from an '85 base model.

Any idea about the lower two blanks on the left side?

hm.... I'll have to try pushing and pulling on the bottom two (per my pic, the hatch release was in the blank immediately to the left of the steering column)
