Are the u-joints in my '85' rx7 replaceable

Are the u-joints in my '85' rx7 replaceable

hey i just wanna know if i can replace the uni joints in my tail shaft. i bought some new ones, but when i poped the old tail shaft in. It's like the end caps are welded in. So do they come out or not??

81-85 are not replaceable but it has been done before except it will take careful grinding of the clip. When I ran out of extra driveshaft, I will try to convert it to SA style including the pinion flange.

Your best bet is to get one custom made or get one from mazda trix if it went out.

Take it to a driveshaft shop and they can replace them

You gotta get it pressed in to place ... Call your l;ocal driveshaft shot ... cost me about 75$ canadian ... including the new joint and all .. not bad
