u joints

Been starting to get this shutter also most feels like the clutch but not quite there. Only does it when I take off easy. U joints feel tight but I remember once that I had a u joint freeze which caused problems. Funny thing is you didn't know it was froze until you pulled the driveshaft out. Anyone have them freeze up on them?

Sounds like a clutch slipping to me

Usually bad U joints make a ping or something when taking off and have serious vibrations at certain speeds or grate levels in the road...

When the u joints go bad sometimes when you take off you here a sound like someone taping the driveshaft with a bolt or nail. It goes PING

I also feel a roughness in the rear end around 45mph if that helps.

Sounds like a rear u joint, you tried pushing up and down on the driveshaft to see if it has play?
