Which of the two is better?

A cold air intake or a Bonez air intake? I don't have the pic of the Bonez intake but it's the one that is plexiglass and that the air doesn't need to come in the 3" hole. That means more air and the sound is nicer too..

That or a CAI?

Which one would give a better difference to butt-dyno?

Click the sig, grab the Insulated CAI tutorial. It looks like a jiffy-pop popcorn-popper, but it does an excellent job keeping the intake temp down.

yea I read the whole thing.... but since I'm a lazy bum I don't wanna do all of that it seems too long:P so I was thinkin bout the Bonez air intake which is way easier to do and I was wondering which one of the two mods gives better results... if the CAI is much better I guess I'll leave an afternoon open for the mod

We'll be backing this up with numbers when we get a weekend with sustained 80-90+ temps, but you'll find that doing an inuslated CAI a'la the tutorial will be a dramatic improvement over any other system you can get.

Rough numbers are just over 10 minutes to return to ambient with standard CAI, 8 seconds with the ICAI. Pretty is as pretty does, and let me tell you - the popcorn popper works well. Well enough that I installed it on my new engine instead of using this...

Screw stock-looking, give me something that works

i plan on running insulated piping where the extra coolant jug is infront of the rad, so its getting a little bit of forced cool air?

sound ok, i'd have to cut a hole through the thing that hole up the rad, but i think it'll be ok
