If you want more power than 200rwhp than opt for the 9". That is my only mistake with my camden, I should've gone bigger.

You have to Pm Dan Atkins on that. I don't remember the specs even being posted on their webiste.

And to get the most Hp out of the Supercharger it is recommended that you go Fuel injected and use larger secondary injectors.

Nothing wrong with going carb on a s/c. The owner of Mears Mazda in Lovett Texas runs a 9" on an old rx with a full bridgeport.

Turns out I really want about 350 Since I did everything else to support big par I can just now upgrade the turbo when I get the cash after my tax return.
I have 500, and I want more!! (going for 650+ soon)

I think it's the weather that's making me yawn. Then what after you hit 650+? You sir are a speed nut. LOL. I love your car though.

Sure they are. Wanna Race?
Hell no! I've seen your videos, that car is nuts! But like mentioned earlier, it's all what you want to do. A nice turbo set up can cost twice as much as a supercharger set up if you don't have the means. And by means I mean hook ups, money, knowledge, and friends to help you out with parts and such (cough, cough, Directfreak, cough). There's non of that here for me. The Camden is a strictly bolt on affair and the end results in a very fun car to drive. That's exactly what I wanted. Once the efi is done, then it will be perfect.

Like everyone else said, your engine needs to be healthy. You can't make turbocharged, or supercharged hp on a crappy engine. I tell you though, the sounds they make on an fb is absolutelly music with a tuned turbo or s/c. That's why I decided to not put in a radio in mine.
Keep researching, there's tons and tons of info here for both.

Back to Directfreak:
In two months I will be in Miami. I'm going to look you up so you can take me for a ride in that cool car of yours. Hopefully that will cure me from the yawns

Like the others have mentioned it all comes down to personal preference. Generally you will be able to achieve more power out of a turbocharger, in the end it's how much you want to spend and what you want out of the car.

My preference:

Yes, there are few threads from way back but they are hard to find. I think one of them was linked when the guy was selling the supercharger.

84fb-undecided

Turbo's have been dynoed on this forum over and over. There is no dispute as to which one will produce the most Hp. The turbo is the king hands down when it comes to HP.

Well the Camden website states that your hp should increase by 30%-50%.
So I'm guessing if you have an all stock S4 n/a - lowest: about 190hp , highest: 219hp
All stock S5 n/a - lowest 208hp , highest 240hp

codeblue got 210 on a mustang dyno. Camden advertises 35%, soo take a stockport 13b at 135, add the normal ie: intake, exhaust, streetport, lightened flywheel, etc, etc = 195 n/a (at the most), add 35% and subtract 20% for drivetrain loss (consistant with a mustang dyno) and you get exactly "as advertised". People get disappointed, but this is "as advertised", loads of torque, lots of midrange, instant boost and 35% gain in net hp. Camden doesn't bullshit you, do the math and make the choice, if you want 400hp than go turbo, if you wanna win every race, go turbo, if you want a simplistic setup that's reliable and fun to drive while turning head, than the s/c is a great choice. I'll be striving to beat this number with a 1/2 bridge this winter and adding nitrous to cool the charger and add even more. S/C respond very well to nitrous.

I actually agree with you. When you have done all the "bolt-ons" to a car, a Supercharger is just "one more", and makes all your other "bolt-ons" work even better. I am sure it is a has nice balance, qick throttle response, and probably drives lke a go cart.

On the other side of the coin, mine is heavy, expensive, and downright scary at times. It's too fast to go "in the twisties" or I will kill myself. I actually know a few Supra guys who say they can't enjoy their car anymore (for street driving) because its just too much power.

Let me know. In February I plan to run the car on Pinks! All Out. After that
it's probably going under the knife for it's new 650rwhp heart. If it's still in one piece, than 'll be more than happy to take you on a white knuckle ride.

Uh oh... once the rotary family starts taking home the cash, a bunch of stupid kids and adults will start buying rx7s and in the end start crashing them.... similar to the initial d and the fast and the furious periods...

So, WIN WIN!! but make it look like they actually have a chance...
