Turbo, read the sticky, to confusing, please help

This here isnt meant to be a long thread at all so a few posts will be fine, i just want a list of everyhting i will need to make my car turbo. I have an 84 GSL-SE with the 13B Fuel Injected. Most of the turbo threads ive read have been for 12a's and stuff that just confuse the hell outta me. Once i have hte parts im sure i can get it all together. So i was just wondering, what all will i need to either put a turbo on my current motor, or swap it to a 2nd turbo and being exact as possible would help. Thanks and sorry for not understanding the sticky completely.

If your going to be swapping in a Second Gen Turbo motor this is what you'll need

- T2 motor
- T2 Tranny
- T2 Ignition coils
- Custom driveshaft
- Either T2 ECU/Harness or aftermarket ECU
- Front mount intercooler
- Custom piping for the Intercooler
- GSL-SE Front cover
- GSL-SE Oil pan
- Need to make custom oil drain for the Turbo
- Custom Tranny mounts
- Fuel pump upgrade
- Custom exhaust
- Atleast a Good boost gauge

I'll try my best to give you an idea of prices...My brother is in the process of doing this at the moment

Yes you would take the oil pan and front cover off your current motor, UNLESS you find another set and then you could sell your motor to recover some of the cost.

- T2 motor and Tranny ~$900
- T2 Ignition coils ~$100?
- Custom driveshaft (Not sure...Probably around $200)
- Either T2 ECU/Harness or aftermarket ECU
I've seen t2 Ecu/Harness go around for 200 but your very limited in future mods for the car so thats why its recommended you use aftermarket ECU which is $1000+

- Front mount intercooler ~$100 (Depends on style, Used of course)

- Custom piping for the Intercooler ?
- GSL-SE Front cover Already have it
- GSL-SE Oil pan Already have it
- Need to make custom oil drain for the Turbo
- Custom Tranny mounts ? Free if your able to do it yourself
- Fuel pump upgrade ~200
- Custom exhaust (3") ~500
- Good boost gauge ~100+

All these costs are canadian though!

P.S you could also use a Carb set up for your turbo.

think like 15% less.... American is worth more. All of these prices can range alot depending on hook ups etc. and quailty etc.

or at least, is a canadian dollar more or less than an american, like an american 20 oz is 1 dollar, 1 gallon of gas is about 1.85 as of today

For your stock motor There was a recent post about upgrading the stock rx7.. Search down this page or maybe a page back...Has pretty much all you need to know.
