turbo questions
if someone had enough knowledge and time, how much would it cost to turbo a 12a? assuming that they scrounge junkyards and ebay and get a decent price(avoid gettn screwed)?what will they need for an intercooled set up?

Yeah, shutup kid.
$3200??? I've got all my parts and am working on getting it all put together and I'm not even close to hitting $1000 yet
Here's what you need:
-TurboII Exhaust manifold - Put 12a Manifold gasket onto it, mark it, and grind the 13bT manifold to it fits the 12a gasket.
-TurboII Turbo
-TurboII Wastegate
-Nikki(stock) Carb w/mods done to handle boost
-12aTurbo(j-spec) intake manifold(stock will hit turbo), or use TII intake manifold with 12a adapter plate(I have heard this works, but no 1st hand experience with it).
-Turbo Hat for Carb
-GSL-SE Fuel pump
-Rising rate Fuel pressure regulator
-Drill hole/put in fitting in engine front cover for turbo oil return line
-T fitting where the oil pressure gauge gets it's reading from for turbo oil feed line
-Remove vacume advance and weld centrifugal advance on distributor.
-Downpipe + whatever you want to do with the rest of the exhaust.
Plus a few other hoses and fittings to connect everything together. You can also add a blowoff valve or intercooler if you want. You can use lots of other newer turbos, but this is the cheapest, easiest way to go.
If you can do most of this work yourself, it can end up not costing you much $$ at all.
I used www.rotaryshack.com to get most of my parts.
