how much shaft play is too much?

whats needed in a rebuild? just bearings and seals, or do the wheels need to be replaced. where is a good place to get one?

They usually sell rebuilt turbo cartridges where you just reuse the housings.

I have no idea how to rebuild turbos, that's one of those things I leave for the professionals.
