Turbo Question

First off, I have no experience with turbo fabrication, so i apologize if my ignorance offends anyone. I am in the planning stage of my first turbo project, I recently picked up a small turbo, it has oil and coolant. The question i have is about the turbo/coolant. I am aware that i will probably have to scavenge the oil from the motor. Would I need a scavenge pump for the oil? Same question for the coolant, would I need a pump for the coolant as well?

Thanks

if you are using a turbo block, you can use the oil feed from the top driver's side and run a -3 line to the turbo. run a -10 drain to either a tapped hole in the front cover or oil pan, just not below oil level. this will cause backup. if you don't have the feed on the top front iron, get a oil filter sandwich adapter from racing beat, and run a line from there to the turbo.

good luck with you project…turbo FB's are a helluva lotta fun!

Sounds good. No, I don't have a turbo block. Would a generic adapter off ebay work? As far as the coolant goes, where would you tap in for that?

Thanks for the help

You are right. I guess I'm just excited to start. I live in Minnesota and it's been so cold for so long, I really wish I would have insulated my garage last summer.
