Turbo II trans in First gen GSLE

Hey everyone,
I am currently building a nice first gen gsle car with a turbo II motor. My question, will the stock shifter of a turbo II trans fit into the stock hole for a first gen trans? (ie will the shifter **** be in the same place?) I can build the trans mounts and engine mounts easy enough, but I don't want to have to redo the interior of my car to fit the stronger trans.

Does anyone have examples of putting a s5 13 bt turbo II motor and trans in a first gen gsle?

Thanks
Greg

you can get it to fit correctly or you can cut out some of the hole and have it fit but it will be a little off center. check out the thread called "cronicals of a TII swap" he made mounts to do it correctly.

also you will have to modify your driveshaft to fit the TII trans. that is also covered in the thread.
