Turbo II engine in a miata...

i just bought an old miata and am wondering if i could swap in a turbo II engine, and if so how hard it would be to do so

I saw on ebay where someone had put a bridgeport 13b in their miata. So it should be very possible. I would imagine it takes a lot of fabrication though.

yeah! and another thing is that us 1st gen owners are cheap. we do weird things to cars. like swaps into mg's, triumphs, vw. i'd think it wouldn't be that hard. i'm gonna( been saying for 3 years now) put a 12a or 13b turbo ( thats why i've been waiting for the right engine!) into a triumph spitfire. heard the miata rear ends are good. good luck with your miata

What about Datsun 510s? I've seen a couple with a 12a under the hood..

Racing Beat did it a while back, along with a TII trans and rearend.Turned out to be more of a pain getting the suspension right than the motor.Its a damn sweet car and one of the best handling out there.I believe it scored over 1G on the skidpad.
