Enclosures like that are for people who don't feel like taking the time to modify a carb properly for boost. They are extremely turbulant and flow like ****.

I think it demonstrates pure enthusiasm and determination.

As an artist, I see art.

Dude, WTF are you talking about. There are no "Bolt-Ons" in a Turbo FB except the Car-Tech Kits of the 80's.

What you see on ebay there - is a PIECE OF ****, and it's not a "Car-Tech" anything, like the seller states in the auction.

It costs around 50 dollars (or less) to modify a carb for boost (holley, demon, barry grant). The only thing you really need to buy is nitrophyl floats and a rebuild kit. And seeing as the guy is a master fabricator, he could easily creat a budget carb hat.

IMO, carb enclosures suck.

You have no ******* appreciation for custom work.
That's my point.

The seller never stated it was car-tech anywhere in the auction if that's what you meant.

My mistake on the "Car-Tech" part in his listing. - But
it's still a POS. I wonder why he ended the sale early?

Putting the carb in a box seems harder to me. You will need to run a fuel line into the box then to the carb. And how the hell are you going to seal the throttle cable?? Does anybody know if this type of setup runs any better?

Not if the carb isint boost prepped. This is the lazy way out IMHO, as was stated before in this thread.
