turbo

hi i have an gsle and i'm going turbo and i just wanted to know if a turbo with 96 a\r was to high of an air flow

I was under the impression that is you turbo a rotary you wanna get the proper internals for it...

Unless i been reading the TII threads wrong...

Are you talking about the hotside? The stock hitachi turbos on FCs have 1.0 A/R hotsides, and something like .48 coldsides. Of course, the efficiency of the wheels also comes into play, but this should give you something to compare to.

i have a cartech setup and on the back of the hotside it has an 96 stamped on it

I've seen anywhere from .84 to 1.15 used. But that is only part of the equation for turbo sizing.

there's a half dozen relevant numbers to know about a turbo before anyone can say something is or isn't "right".
