turbo

just got one quick question i am putting on a turbo on my 1980 turbo 12a carberated that i just re built heheheh and i was wondering if i can just shove that up pipe down the carb? but only problem is that i am afriad that i will mess something up will the cold air intake coming off the turbo be enough to draw that initial amount and ever demanding and increassing while yo accelerate turbo requirements?

What? Cold air intake? up pipe? Are you telling me you have a regular carb and are wanting to run the intake piping straight from the turbo into the carb? Firstly you need to get the carb boost prepped by someone who knows how. Secondly you will need a carb hat that can withstand boost. Thirdly you will probably need a front mount intercooler to reduce engine temps and get more power out of the compressed air.

I'm not entirely sure what is going on with your setup, and I hope that someone that knows more about turboing a 12a will chime in and tell you what is going on. That is just my take on your setup and everything.

"pay my and i will do your math!!! "

Sorry, and I don't think you will be doing my English either.

Since it sounds like you are still in some sort of educational setting, I suggest you start studying turbos, from the beginning.

i have actually had my carb just re worked as a graduation present also i know you dont need a intercooler unles you are running like more than 6 or 8 psi i cant rember i think its the latter. i am making an adapter to fit the turbo to the exaust i am thinking about just using a intake manifold off a 4 cylder wrx it is a simmiliar setup / arrengment to the stock 12a why i ask is because i only have knowldge of how to turbo fuel injected cars, and that is diffrent from how you set up a rotary also so this is why i was curious and yes i have reasherced but when i reseaqrch i get it from many places and ask for many peoples opion this being one, and yess i know i suck at spelling but not as much as a vacum leak does heheh
