I have a stock 12a that will be streat ported and I was planning on running a dominator 500, but I really wanted to put a turbo in the mix. My question is what is the best turbo for the buck that is relativlty cheap easy to mod/install I'm kinda looking at a turbo from a MAC truck it has a high spin and a large boost chamber and I can pick it up for 50$ but I was thinking it might be too large or the engine wont generat the proper boost? any ideas,questions,comments welcome.


Ohhh almost forgot I found a porches 911 turbo 6 speed tranny that your supposed to be able to mod and use on the 12a housing any thought's?

 

The EASIEST way to do this is: Get a S4 or S5 turbo, TII water pump. Weld up an adapter or oval out the mounting holes to bolt it up to the exhaust. Tap the front cover for oil return and use the TII water pump for the coolent connection. Throw in an intercooler and piping, fuel pressure regulator, and a better fuel pump and there you go. You can use a standard TII downpipe and modify it to bolt up to your exhaust.
