i was curious if anyone has turboed a 12a engine wth any success and if they have i was wondering what all is involved with the process?

 

please use the search button...this is covered every week. type in "12a turbo" in short yes it can be done...there is no direct kit that is sold. you will have to piece together a kit..

Look at yetters build thread, bad 83's those are 2 just off the top of my head. 12at turbo 12a and look in the first gen section only

is one build thread i found.

Basically you have to start reading around. It has been done but alot of custom work is required. Like down pipe, manifold and then you need carb hat etc. Ibviously i don't know everything required becuase i have not done it.

Another option is a tii swap

 

it took him years to find the rest of the kit..this was a kit that was built for the 12a and there were only like 100 ever built...its extremely rare..and its still for sale its even on craigslist but for more..

how do i look in the first gen secton only. i know what the section is but dont how to search in it specifically other than scroll down through looking at the sections till i find one.

 

Click on advanced search, on the right hand side there is a big menu, scroll down and click on 1st gen specific
