for a short answer, no there is no 12a kit, (there is a few of the ooolllddd kits on ebay once in awhile thou) do a search, there are lots of ways to turbo your 12a, it just depends on how much you want to spend and how much your willing to work on it.

-Turbo from a TII rx7 (87 - 91 turbos).
-Oval the bolt holes and grind the exhaust passages a tad.
-modify your front cover for oil return, and tap into a pressured oil source for the oil feed.
-Downpipe.
-carb modified for boost, or buy another type of carb (weber or holley) that can handle boost.
-Carb hat
-Rising rate fuel pressure regulater, and a good fuel pump
-Piping
-BOV, you can run without one, but it will cut the life of the turbo

That is basically it, maybe i missed some odds and ends. If you can do the work yourself it can be done for under a grand easily.

im not sure if it is reliable however. if they say there really is no 12a turbo, i might have just been on crack or something when i saw it.

There was a 12A turbo engine in the RX-7 GT Turbo and HB Cosmo in Japan. There was some turbokits for the 12A around too. Cartech was one of them.

12 a turbo

I have a 12A w/T04 turbo setup. I have been using the Cartech system. I have had this setup for 3-4 yrs. I am upgrading the system to a different turbo and new computer. I originally had a Haltech F9a and I just bought a Autronic SM2. My current goal is to make approx. 450-500 Hp once we are done with everything. I've installed a direct fire ignition and removed the distributor. Once i complete the new installation of the turbo i will take it to the dyno and see what can be done. The original setup was very wicked, without really getting on the throttle you could smoke my 8" wide tires.
Yeah there are turbo's for 12A's

Your car doesn not have an ecu, the honk is your shutter valve acting up, and i am unsure of which has the lowest final drive ratio, somebody else will. You can look it up in various places though.

It seems like you need to do some searching and learning, no offense.

12a dont use a comp to controle gas. its carbed. when you get a trubo kit you will have to get a new carb or modify your stock one for the turbo application.

also by that comment i can make a guess you dont know much about how trubos work so check this out and learn about them before you get one.

Here's what you need to make a basic 12aTurbo. If you can't understand the things on the list, then you better start doing a lot of research before you even think of touching under the hood.

-TurboII Exhaust manifold - oval bolt holes, grind exhaust path 5mm inward on each side.
-TurboII Turbo
-TurboII Wastegate
-Nikki(stock) Carb w/mods done to handle boost
-Either a 12aT intake manifold or use an exaust manifold that places the turbo farther from the engine or else it won't fit.
-Turbo Hat for Carb
-GSL-SE Fuel pump
-Rising rate Fuel pressure regulator
-Drill hole/put in fitting in engine front cover for turbo oil return line
-T fitting where the oil pressure gauge gets it's reading from for turbo oil feed line
-Lock dizzy
-Downpipe for exhaust shop to connect the rest of the exhaust to

It was running good. Very fast. But it's taken apart again now for a few more upgrades

12a Streetport motor, dowel pinned, rotaryshack apex seals
2 TII intercoolers, cores welded together
Exhaust bends will be a bit better now
MSD 6a
Weber 48DCO-SP
Custom Intake Manifold(might start making and selling these depending on how mine ends up)

It should be running again by mid april and it'll be at the Rotary Revolution.
