hmm...

Well for coolness factor, I often put on "Low Rider" and drive nice and casual with the windows down.

For long highway drives, Offspring and The Tragically Hip are my favorite "listen to the whole cd all the way through" music. I like a lot of Classic Rock too.

My "Spirited Driving CD" is more beat-oriented and has these, among others:
Outkast - Bombs Over Baghdad
Kazzer - Pedal To The Metal
Led Zepplin - Immigrant Song
Buck 65 - Wicked and Weird
Rob Zombie - Dragula
Eve 6 - Inside Out
Chumbawamba - Tubthumping
Happy Hardcore - Tetris Remix
New Order - Confusion

I will say to my defence that my "Spirited Driving" cd was burned when I turned 17... Since the rest of the songs are alright, I let it slide.

But I forgot one critical one : Steppenwolf - Magic Carpet Ride!

That should redeem me.

Its not that I don't like it because its top 40, just most of that stuff isn't my thing, especially now that rap and hip hop are popular. I like the Beatles, they where top 40, and I have the Red Hot Chilli Peppers also. I think any one could find something they like off my list.

Whatever my headunit decides to play. I have a disc with about 1,000 songs on it. And about 500 different genres of music. Mix function on the headunit. So it varies extremely.

I knew I should have made a write up for installing and eclipse deck in an Fb. I didnt have my camera then though... That was a good challenge though, couldnt have done it without a multimeter.. Anyway:
The Essentials for Mine are

TestAmenT - ALL
Slayer (especially War Ensemble, Dittohead, Mind Control)
The Crown (Deathrace King album)
Ministry!!!! (thatll get you a speeding ticket though hahah)
Cannibal Corpse
Corrosion of Conformity
Angelcorpse(careful with this one too)
Sepultura (Arise & Chaos AD)
Drain Sth
Ozzy seems to go really well with the Fb for some reason hahaha
And the first few tracks on Core by S.T.P.

Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, and Purcell, for gloomy weather / Traffic

And Eminence Front by The Who is perfect for cruising the city at night

Some funk once and a while (EWF, George Clinton, ect..)

Right now I have Skinny Puppy in the cd player, but normally it is alot more electronic based music. Depeche Mode, Gary Numan, The Faint, etc. etc. I also listen to a lot of stuff like Voltaire, Rasputina, Dresden Dolls, Legendary Pink Dots, Tear Garden, and artists of that nature as well. To top that off I also love to just pop in Frank Sinatra or some Marvin Gaye. You can never go wrong with either of those. I listen to a ton of different music.

Like whoever said though, Ministry gets your tickets. I know they are the band that I was listening to when I got my first speeding ticket.... 6 years ago....
