Nothing is cooler than the 84-85 radio with the feather-touch presets and the warm glow of the EQ buttons at night. That's forced me to break my box of old early 80s home made cassette tapes out of storage. Yep... Springsteen, Dire Straits, Al Demiola, George Thorogood, Steely Dan, BB King, Bob Seeger, Joe Jackson. That's a partial list. Some of the names are just too embarassing to admit to.

Now, what I really need is a method to hook up a flash MP3 player into the system without carving up the entire dash.

crazy americans!

i tend to listen mostly to 80s in my car hehe, just seems to be fitting for the car.. not a huge fan of 90% of todays music..

when i first got my car there was a tape in it unwritten law. that grew on me for the 2 day drive back at max volume due to unmuffled exhaust and reminds me of when i first got the car

pink floyd
men at work
the police
sting
queen
seal
eurythmics
kansas
simon and garfunkel
robert miles
village people

and music that makes me drive crazy.. classical. must be quite amusing pulling up next to ppl, they prolly wouldnt be expecting classical music with darker than legal tint, a deep throbbing exhaust and then me drifting a corner out of the intersection :P

during spirited driving i tend to turn back the music, great jsut to hear the high revs and air rushing by. good to be able to hear everything in the car so i know if anything has broken or is going to lol

crazy americans? at least it was in a nice way.

Based on your other bands up there I bet you'd like the band Canned Heat, they are a 80's band. Similar to Simon and Garfunkel

The Roots
Jurassic 5
Talib Kwalie
Dead Prez
Paul Wall
Muse
The Toadies
DJ Tiesto
Foo Fighters
Queen
.......QUOTE]

I think the list can stop right there, QUEEN is the defacto band to play in an 80's vehicle. And Killer Queen comes to mind inparticular. SO DON'T STOP ME NOW!!

eh

but I'd agree with the list of Onlyonthurs

you lose me after Queen but from there on...

atmosphere
modest mouse
cursive
pantera
refused
blood brothers
godspeed you black emperor
tribe called quest
......and so on, and so on

*L* I was waiting for a reply like that. Almost like the music from a Harley.

Otherwise, for me, I prefer (besides exhaust):

Lacuna Coil
Rammstein
Apoptygma Berzerk
L'Âme Immortelle
VNV Nation
DragonForce
Need for Speed music tracks (Not the Underground and Most Wanted bullshit)
Initial D
some Metallica
Nickelback
and, sometimes Native American Meditation music

Sometimes, I'll have some other normal American music that you Americans like to listen to mixed into my CD (let's hear it for MP3 Disc capable CD players!) .
