trouble getting windows tinted??

trouble getting windows tinted??

here at the dealership i work at, i asked our accessories guy to tint my glass. he said he cant cause it's way too hard. something about the little buttons? i was like "are you sure you know what kinda car i'm talking about?" wtf???? anyone ever run in to this problem??? he was mainly refering to the rear hatch.

It's not hard to do - you need to remove the hatch hinges. It's not like you would want to tint the hatch while it's still on the car anyway??? If he can't handle that, you shouldn't be taking your car to them anyway.

the tint shop i worked at we took the glass off the car and turned it upside down to tint it i have a 1-piece tint job we didnt cut big holes out around the buttons i always get compliments from other 1st gen owners about the tint its time consuming but well worth the time

When i got my car the rear hatch was already tinted, they took off the hatch shocks and the little buttons that hold it in towards the bottom. The only thing is to make sure to let that **** dry before you tighten those up, my tint kinda spun and wrinkled on the glass when they tightened them up, if you get when i mean.

ya its a whole lot nicer looking just to take the glass out and then tint it just have to be very very careful not to break it and have a sturdy place to work on it
