Removing old crappy tint
Removing old crappy tint
I have terrible crappy *** tint on the back window of my bro's 84, i have to take it off and i don't want to ruin the rear defroster lines. I've scraped off what i can with a razor blade and some solvent but i stopped right at the defroster...anyone know how to do this????
I've heard of steaming them or something, but im lookin for a product that will take it off or another solution for this...thanks!

The best idea is to never scrape at all. Once you get a corner pulled up, get a spray bottle from walmart and screw the head into a bottle of rubbing alcohol. Take your alcohol spray bottle and a rag and keep the boundary of glass and tint wet, just by wiping back and forth as you go, and it'll all pull off in one big sheet.

glass with ammonia has to be strong and steel wool spray the cleaner and then take a big garbage bag and put it up against the glass so it stays up and keeps the cleaner between the glass and bag put out in the sun for 20 mins then the tint will get soft and peel as much as u can off then use more cleaner and the steel wool to clean all the glue off
