I dont feel like starting a new thread but.......

Can i just take some high grit sand paper to the flywheel to knock the rust off of it??? i did on one little spot and its shiney under neath all the rust and dosnt have any pitting....is this ok to do or should i take it off and get it resurfaced by a shop??
Could be that it has been rebuilt and has newer internals or the previous owner just put a larger clutch on it.

A 80 Ca 12a that I tore down recently had a 225mm clutch set up. And I definitely know it is a 80 Ca because it has the EGR on it.
