Theres 2 dowells on the motor, there diagonal of each other, and the input shaft for the trans has to be the same angle as the motor, or else you gonna screw some **** up Its kinda a bitch, if you cut your hand a few times and bleed on the motor it will be happy then Works for me....

All I can say on this one is:FRUSTRATION. My tranny has always been diffcult to line up. Mainly though since I was holding it up by myself and trying to get the nut started on the top stud and go from there. NO one was there to help and it was a bitch to do. I highly recomend having someone around to put bolts in while you hold it in place.
Sometimes the splines on the input shaft are binding which makes it go on hard. Just be sure that all side of the tranny or even while going on and you'll be alright.

i had the same promblem a month ago! make the that alignment of the clutch disc is right. do u have the car on axel stands?? because this was my problem - i had them (stands) on crossmember, and this caused the engine to sit a bit higher. after 4 day longs of trying to get the damn thing in my mate move the stands on the chasis rails on the sides and this cause the engine to drop down a little more and on the first try the damn thing went in! hope that helps!

It's called "Big-Time Wrestling." It's a struggle, I know. I used a bottle jack under the engine (with some wood on it to spread out the pressure) and a floor jack to move the trans around.....After much exertion, etc. I finally got 'er to line up. Lining up is the issue...

what has always worked 4 me is get it up and CLOSE to the lineup pins(dowels) then have somebody slap a19mm on the man pully and spin it over wiggle a little and it will line up and BLAM it goes on fine

Make the sure the trans is in gear, make sure the trans is fairly well lined up (going straight onto the engine instead of cockeyed) and have a buddy slip the driveshaft on the tranny and turn the trans back and forth. That usually works.

high enough,and it's straight,even the top stud is

the new clutch disc to see if it fit the spline,that was OK
the car is supported on the right places too,also the
new clutch came with,and i used the align tool, but
i guess i just have to keep ******* with it,,,,that POS.
it's not suposted to be that diffacult,,,i needed to vent
today is another day..here i go

Thats kinda how I did it, except I was bench pressing the trans for a while. And I can lift a pretty good amount of weight, and when I finally got it in, my arms were shaking so badly. But you can look at it this way, when holding it up like that, you got two choices keep holding it, or let it cave your chest in... It takes time and its a bitch to do, but anyways good luck...
