transmission oil refill?
I had to replace my transmission drain plug (leaking) so I lost about a quart of fluid from the drain before I could put the new plug in.
My question is: do I need to refill the transmission fluid somewhere, or is that just part of the main oil sysem? I know, stupid question, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't draining one system and filling another.
83' GSL 5spd Manual
Thanks.

Yes you SHOULD refill it and while your at it just drain your entire tranny and put some good Synthetic in it, your car will love you for it, Try either Redline or Royal Purple, the fill plug is on the drivers side of the tranny in about the middle of it, just fill it up till it overflows and put the plug in.

Up on the driver’s side of the trany case is another plug, you need to have it filled to that level. You might as well change it all out for some new & shinny fluid. Think it should hold like two quarts, double check you Haynes manual quantity. Don’t think you want to run it too far wit it being low.

found it
I guess it was covered in sooo much dirt and oil, I just couldn't see the fill bolt. Yeah, I think I'll go for some nice synth. FYI for 83' above 0F it says SAE 90.
