I need to know if the manual tranny from a first gen is a strong effient replacement. THe powerplant I have is putting out not even 180hp so I know it should be strong enough, but is it worth it? If so where would I find an adapter for the switch? I'm building up a 67 datsun roadster and would just like to know.

I have an rx7 I will want to get rid of, more than likely it will be minus the rear diff and possibly the tranny, but the rotory (not funtioning, can be rebuilt) and body.
