trans issue
so i'm happy I got my baby back on the road today. She has been running like I never left her, it turned out the master cylinder has a mild leak, I put fluid in and the brakes ran fine and the levels never dropped so it has to be pretty mild. However even running at idle the trans was smoking. It was mild and I barely noticed it until I saw the wisp of smoke in the sunlight. It runs/drives fine but it's always done that when I run it hard. Can't seem to find the dipstick to check the fluid levels but I find it pretty odd. It is a 12a tranny I had thrown in my gsl se just to get it back on the road. I have a 13b tranny a friend of mine seems to never be able to get around to putting in for me. Is the 12a tranny too weak for a 13b? wondering if the mild brake fluid leak is hitting the tranny and its burning off. Runs like a top otherwise.

I think that fluid has collected on the yoke and is getting slung onto the exhaust. That tranny
should do fine on a 13B.
The manual transmissions have no dipstick, you have to undo the fill bolt and put your finger
in to check the level. Just like checking the diff level.
