ON Tranny removal questions

I apologize if this is already answered. I'm about to remove the tranny in my 83.

Will the engine remain supported by the the front engine mount? I see nothing holding the rear up, once the tranny is gone.

I read one thread that talked about holding the front of the engine up to keep the back end down, to assist in realiging the tranny?

Everything seems to indicate that the engine will be ok? This is my first "big" project and wanted to check with the experts first.

Thanks

you're fine, it will tilt down a bit, but nothing too major, and yes when reinstalling you can even lift the front end of the engine a bit more to make it angle and help you by making it a tad easier.

its easier to install the tranny with the exhaust unhooked as it will allow the engine to tilt down. otherwise, it will be difficult to find the right angle (tranny to motor) coz the shifter housing will hit the floorboard
