tranny and clutch help

i got a 83 when the car is off the gears move in and out and when the car is on it wont go into gear i bleed the clutch feels good i dont know the last owner installed a new cluch and never drove it what can i do? i dont think the clutch is doing anything

With the car off have someone push the clutch in and out and while you watch the slave cyl/pivot arm on the top of the tranny. If it is moving then your problem is in the bellhousing (clutch/pressure plate/throwout bearing), if it fails to move your problem is hydraulic (master or slave cyl/hose/fluid)
