trailing plugs wont fire.
ive got them out and grounded. when i crank the motor, the leading plugs spark, but the trailing plugs dont. i have switched the coils up, still no trailing which tells me its not the coils. i switched the trailing igniter, which tells me its not the trailing igniter unless they're both bad. i bought a new distributer cap, still no spark in the trailing so its not the cap. so i dont know what it could be. when the trailing plugs dont fire, what is it like? does it rev really slowly? because thats what it does when it runs sometimes. for the most part it would run well, then it would bog down and start running like ****: wont idle, sounds like a harley, revs slowly. these symptoms would sometimes rev out too. i'd rev it to about 4k and it'd clear up, idle and everything. but now the shitty running has taken over and that's all it does.

Loss of trailing ignition would be pretty hard to even notice. The symptoms that you are describing are not related to your trailing ignition, and it sounds more like you are having problems with your leading ignition.
Cap/rotor, and proper grounding of your electrical system might be a good place to start.. After that you might have to dig into some possible fuel delivery issues....

Just follow the battery cables. Positive cable will go from battery to the starter, and might have another wire too. Jut follow them and clean all connections. Same with the negative cable, which should end at the engine block...
There are really a lot of possible causes for this condition, but you might as well start with the general maintenance items. That way, even if that doesn't fix it you will still have a more reliable car and will have eliminated another possibility along the way.
