I'm putting a trailer hitch on my SE to haul a set of autox tires and tools to/from events (its getting a bit crowded in the car), and I was wondering if there might be any issues with my wiring idea.

For the trailer wiring, I intend to tap into the brake and turn signals via splices at the rear light housings and then let the connector hang out of the rear hatch to connect to the trailer. The connector will be stored inside of the back when not in use.
