Jim,
Have you done anything to it recently? When did the car started acting up? Does it idle ok? Have you done the idle adjustments? Is your TPS adjusted correcty? We'll need some more info before giving you diagnosis/repair comments...

well i hooked up one of those light testors to my tps to adjust it to where only 1 of the 2 lights comes on. I got it where only one was on and and attempted to adjust my idle, but it would only go down to about 1200 because my exhaust is horrible right now. I ran it for a few days and it was decent, but then it started chugging whenever i would give it even a small ammount of gas. Once the car warms up to its normal temp it runs fine, but until then it dont

Doesn't sound like TPS to me - if it runs fine once it warms up, how could it be TPS - it would run bad all the time with a bad TPS. Have you been messin with the fast idle adjustments? If you adjusted the fast idle cam and fast idle adjust screw just in front of it, you may have set your fast idle to the point where your car needs to be fully warmed up in order for the cam to disengage. This would cause rough running (no power) and high idle until you warmed up. Same as running your car fully choked. Once it warms up, does your idle drop down to where it's supposed to? And if you have messed with the idle adjustments (not the air bleed on the top), your TPS would we way off - you would need to set your idle first then re-adjust your TPS. BTW, if you are hearing the clicking noise when you adjust your TPS (make sure the cars warmed up first), chances are it's still good (you'll hear a click as the lights come on or off). Not sure what you mean when you say your exhaust is having an impact on your idle
