torque????

so ive got my GSL, all the mods should be in my SIGNATURE, please look. my mechanic estimated it to have around 170hp to the wheels. i want to know how my mods might effect torque. the thing that lowers it is i have my 5th and 6th aux. port sleeves removed. so judging by the signature and the fact that my port sleeves are removed, what might my torque be like?

well all I can tell you is that with those aux sleeves removed your low end torque is going to be absolute ****. Thats the one beef I have with carbing a 6 port, no way to acutate the 6 ports.

hum, i run a Dellorto 48 DHLA on a GSL-SE 13B and Full RB exhaust, carter fuel pump, and RB FPR and i'm expecting around 180 to the flywheel.

I don't think 170 to the wheels is what you're going to get with this setup.
I run without sleeves, 6 ports opened, yes it sucks under 3500rpm but over that, WOW ! It makes a lot of difference with my old 12A. Running with the actuators would be difficult with this setup, i would stay without actuators and sleeves.

Just my 2 cents

With this kind of setup, you power band will be near 7500rpm. It is normal to have less torque under 4000rpm, because of your ports that are always opened.

I was going to chime in that 170 to the rear wheels was a bit optimistic myself...has the 13B been street-ported, at least?

The one guy did about the torque being DOA w/o those ports actuated...
<120 at 4500 rpm is my gut guess...

I would kill for 120 at 4500!!!!!!
That is an extremely optomistic number especuially for that low.

I think you might be lucky with 100 pounds of peak torque at any RPM. remember it is really difficult to get torque out of a rotary without going forced induction.

i am curious about how this effects me in a race. im not too excited about racing this guy, but he is so sure he would rape me. i really dont know. hes got a 1989 300zx. the year before the newest body style. so it has close to 200 pounds foo of torque? but it probably has less HP, its heavy as HELL, 3600lbs. you know what they're like. with my setup.......who would be faster? im sure he will shoot off the line. when i launch though, it usually stays above 5000rpm. im just really curious if i should stop defending my car..

I have blown the doors off of 300zxes of the model. (dont mess with the turbo guys though)
You should have no problem beating the 300zx off the line and all the way down the quarter.
