Took my first test drive today!

Well, I went on my very first ever test drive. Was driving down Independence blvd aka car paradise, and saw a convert rx7. I just HAD to drive it! went around the block... well, the engine was good! the tranny's shifter was about the loosest thing this side of the red light district, and the Hyundai place said they put new mufflers on. Yes, I gave them my 2 cents on the cheap mufflers they had. It was fun pointing out that the car doesnt have a 1.8l FWD... and the guy stuck with it saying that he ran the carfax! his reasoning is "the engine was too small to be anything bigger". told him it was a 1.3 haha. anyways, long story short, it ran great minus the shift linkage problem, power steering pump going out, and some paint missing. he wanted 6900 for it and I told him I wouldnt go over 5k.

he was amazed my RX came from 79. Still, I hate to say this about the FC, but it was sloppy feeling, much perfer my SA

Yeah it's always fun pointing things out to people about the cars they know nothing about and claim to know quite a bit. There was a red FB for sale on a lot here in Boise shortly before I moved here, but it sold before I had the chance to go look at it. $6900 is definitely too much for an FC in that kinda condition. Makes me want to go try and find Rx's on lots! LOL

Yeah, they guy wanted to know how much I wanted to pay for it. I know you should always ask for the price before you say how much you want to spend, but I wasnt going to buy it. told him I would pay no more than 5, tops. He then said he didnt know if my trade would knock that much off.

"I'm not trading."

side note, it was fun pointing things out. maybe I will get pictures? how was the FB shape wise? from what you could tell, hah./
