too much draw from the starter?

too much draw from the starter?

I have a 85 GSL and when I start the car the voltage drops from 12 to 10 and below. how do I fix this? what could be wrong?

The starter is a huge draw on your electric system. Is the car still starting fine? I would expect the battery voltage to drop temporarily during cranking.

Considering mine drops half a volt when i hit the brakes (from the lights), and 1V or more when the thermofan is on (draws 30 amps), I'd say that's fine...
