Keep up the good work Geoff
If my car wasn't trying to be so stock, she'd probably aspire to be more like yours
I can't wait to see pics of it in action, post when you've got all the wrinkles ironed out and your tuning done, this has been one project I've been following for quite a while.

What Fuel 524 said. As well as:
1) I will mount it up on some rubber grommets, raising it about 1/2" off the bottom,
2) I may put a plastic hood over the top of it to drain off the water, so it will never even hit it.
3) I may not do the hood, because its very well concealed. The vents only go about half-way thru the piece, and the MSD would be mostly concealed. We'll see.

You do know that MSD's arent sealed right? They are vented to breathe. Thats a bad place for it IMHO.

The directions provided with the MSD say something to the effect of:
DO NOT SEAL THE MSD UNIT. It is interanally sealed, and the box is vented to allow any accumulated moisture drain. Sealing th box will trap moisture inside and cause malfunction.
Robert does this on almost every car he does. They've never had problems. Plus, i cover my car when its parked, and if its raining i'm usually moving. So i'm really not worried about it at all! Its been tried and proven, so i'm not concerned.

RotaryRyan. Yup its a Rotaryshack setup.
here is the breakdown of the prices:
JDM TII engine/tranny: $1000
Rotaryshack carb hat, intakes, various fittings, locked dizzy: $1000
Fuel Pressure Regulator: $90
Various fittings, hoses, etc $100
Exhaust:
Racing Beat Downpipe: $120
Racing Beat Silencer: $130
Custom back exhaust: $170 (w/ ebay muffler).
Ignition:
MSD 6A unit: $150
MSD blster 2: $60 (for both)
SO, if your engine is in great running condition, you could subtract about a thousand dollars (then add some for the exhaust manifold and turbo). THen you're pretty much done. There is other stuff you need to, PM me if you want.
