tires locked at 130 and it wont start!!!

i need a doctor house for my rex...shes sick, possibly death bed sick...last night i was coming home to jacksonville from miami and i was going a good 130 or so (which isnt really abnormal for her) and the rear tires locked up...im an ex hardcore drifter so i had the car in control enough to get it slowed down and off the road but after that she wouldnt start...dont think it was the rear end...it was dark when it happened so i couldnt really look at it but from the oil pool under it and the stuff i heard and felt im kinda guessing the worst...some kinda oil problem then the motor froze up, and/or possibly broke the eccentric shaft...the rear tires are locked but the starter will still engage and spin...dunno...i will have some more info when she gets home in a couple hours but i need someone elses thoughts

I doubt its the engine I've been driving during the death of an engine a couple times itself and the rear tires don't just lock and stay locked... Think about it what about if the cars in neutral... then its not even connected to the engine... plus the starter spins... as far as the motor freezing up think about the inertia of that engine at 130 plus the load form the tires... I doubt it would just stop the engine cold... as far as breaking the eccentric shaft that wouldn't cause everything to just freeze up either... I'm not saying your engine isn't dead... I'm just saying that I think the tires locking are a problem somewhere else...

It is not harsh at all. If you are doing about 2x the speed limit (the HIGHWAY, its not like 50 in a 25 here) I think it is horribly stupid. This is just the "best" worst thing that can happen.

If someone was doing 130 and lost control and hit me I would be sure they do no ever drive again.

That's like insane speed for a stock FB. Have you ever gone to a junkyard or
seen an FB accident? I have wreaked twice at slow speeds. 130 and you are dead. You need serious mods like race seats and frame re-enforcement etc to do that on a controlled drag strip or race track proper.

The car was not designed to cruise that fast.

take it out of gear, and see if the car will roll, push in the clutch, etc. if it doesn't roll, disconnect the drive shaft from the rear end, and try it again. If it still doesn't roll, it's your rear end, if it does, it's your transmission.

I have to agree you are completely braindead to be traveling that fast on public roads. On that note if a seal were to snap and get wedged between the apex of the rotor and the housing it would lock the motor and rear wheels up while the trans is in gear. Does the motor actually sound like it's trying to turn over or does it just sound like the starter spining?

You guys sound like women complaining about how fast he was going. He didnt hurt anybody so stop complaining. If he does hurt someone, then tell him how stupid he is and that he deserved it. Until then, I dont think he deserves to be wished the for the worse.

I'm locking this thread.

If you're driving in excess of 200km/h, you deserve any breakdown your car has.

You got your answer:

So there's no need to keep the thread open. All I can say is I'm glad I don't live anywhere near you, and I can hope that nobody on my highways is as much of an idiot as you. If you wanna drive 200+ km/h, get on the track. Don't endanger innocents by being an idiot on the street.
