Other than ebay, this is the only place I've seen them. Anyone have any ideas/experience? If the money frees up (long story but I'm getting screwed from a shop selling the federal 595s, will post details later if they don't own up) I may be a guinea pig and get a set to see how these are.

i would try them if i needed a set.

I was browsing amazon looking for tires as well and it showed a Yokohama tire in I believe a 205/60/13 for a little over $120. The tire seemed to be a quality street tire.

Just checked with my local tire guy. He can get me the radial TAs for ~$145.00 per tire mounted and balanced. So pretty much the same price as getting them from tirerack and then having them mounted and balanced. Need to unmount the old tires (doing that tomorrow) and then clean up the rims, maybe strip and repaint. Then get the tires, probably late July.

I also saw a 215/50/13 on a stock wheel. It looked good and the side profile was not high.

I have the BFG Radial T/As on my Chevelle, they're really good looking, but nothing to write home about in terms of performance (though neither is the suspension of that car - at all!). Looking for more of a performance tire for the RX7.

1BADRX7 - I'd be getting pretty concerned with a 215 wide tire on the stock 5.5" wheels! 205 is getting close to pushing it. That's (215) enough that you may be getting pretty close to rub with the wheel turned (not to mention the sketchiness factored in with a tire several inches wider than the bead )

I'm still looking into the Firehawk 900s, close to pulling the trigger to try out a set. Got to be better than "Solar 4XS" in 175 width!

Yeah I have no idea if it rubs or pulls when rolling, but in pictures it actually looked better than a 205/60 imo.

215/50 in the front may rub stock springs. Theres not much room as it is with 205/60.

No one should expect the TAs to be great tires. I only want them to dress up my waffles and use for special occasions when I want to swap em in. Although I bet they are better than the Cooper Cobras I had on them.

Well, I mean, if you are after performance, the Toyo R888 or RA1 will do. Otherwise I'd say the BFG will do quite nicely for the street. In between those is the Federal 595.

I wish these were around last year when I had to buy tires, I would love to have the RWL on the car, not to mention a little wider. I'm sure they will be gone the next time I need them.

Buy em now and store em wrapped in trash bags. Should be like new when you need em.

Tirerack/BFG is also offering up to $100 mastercard reward card when purchasing a set of 4 select passenger/light truck tires. Not sure if it applies to the above mentioned tire but just FYI. Good from 6/27 - 7/10.

1010Tires.com has 6 different tires available for the stock size rims. Anyone have any insight on these tires? $50 shipping seams to be the standard on the site. https://www.1010tires.com/Tires/185-70R13

Will the 205/60/R13 fit my 85 rx7 GS with no modifications?
Stock tires on my car now are 185/70/13

Yes they will fit without rubbing and look much better too. Only down side is harder to steer at low speeds.
