Tire suggestions please

I just purchased a set of the Konig Rewinds (15x7) for my 85 GSL. I want to put some tires on them that will be good for autocrossing but also streetable. Back in the late 80's I autocrossed this car with Yokohama A008-R's and was very competitive. I don't think that I want R-compound tires this go around though. I've been a Yokohama guy for over 20 years so I'd be interested to hear what other autocrossers are currently using. I'm leaning toward Bridgestone Potenza RE750's. Let me know what class you run as well. I'm thinking of going CSP or possibly FP. Thanks!

15 is a hard size to find rubber. do you want a racing compound again?

FBDrifter,
I'm flexible. I only drive the car 1000-2000 miles a year so wear of a racing compound is not a concern. On the other hand, I don't really want to fork over $150 to $200 per tire either which seems to be where the racing compounds will fall. The Kumho MX gets pretty good reviews on the Tire Rack web site as being pretty close to a racing compound for a very affordable price. Do you have a suggestion?

Here you go:

or the Falken Axenis Sport, which is a great tire to drive to the autocross track on.

Thanks Legokcen. I'll check the Falken's out. I don't have any experience with them but many of the reviews really praise them.

I've run on the Falkens before. They are a great tire for what you want. The MX's are also good, but the Falkens are just about as close to R-compounds as you can get for a street tire.

Azenis RT-615 are what I use on my Turbo fb and I am very happy with them. I have yet to hit the track but so far so good on the street. 205/50/15 is what I am running.

Sumitomos aren't great, but for only 200 bucks a set you can't beat the price...

Check this out. 225/50/15's. Great deal on great tires. These aren't mine. They are FANTASTIC track tires, again, not too good for a daily driver tire.
