Don't know the best way to fix it. Curious how you found it though. What are your symptoms?

Vac leak. High poor idle, less than 10in vac at 1100 rpm and its a stock port. Stalling when coming to a stop etc. Found it by spraying on carb cleaner.

There is a bushing there that slides into the throttle body, then the shaft slides through that. Its got a slit in it but so does the one in the parts carb. Both shafts (in each TB) felt the same looseness as each other. This carb leaks, that carb didnt. Weird.

Temporary fix, put some bearing grease on there and see how it holds up.

The paper washer is supposed to be slit like that, at least mine was when I disassembled it. This is one of the reasons that mazda doesn't really want you to take it apart. You might try putting some grease on it, or some kind of similar thick lubricant that won't get sucked into the carb. Some times when you take those paper washers off and put them back on they are fine. Other times they leak. They are very strange.

the leaky linkage on my carb feels just as loose as the ones on my other two carbs (that dont leak) im still not giving up on this.

i currently have: TB pulled apart, o ring that fits the throttle shaft, drill, and drill bit that is the same size as the outside of the o ring. Ill either have a fixed carb that works great, a fixed carb that works for a little while, or a junk pos throttle body.

Either way ill be sure to take pics. Hopefully this goes quick and works great when i start it. My water pump started dripping again and my 13" enkeis need lots of love before the 30th for a local car meet in Pittsburgh, PA.
