I just read that when doing a compression test on a rotary that the gas pedal is supposed to be floored. is this true? will that actually make a difference?? I cant see how

That's just so you don't pull fuel through the carb's idle circuit and flood the engine while cranking it.

i think it would help with the compression test as to lessen the restriction of air going into the engine.

its so you get the most intake charge as posable.... and that makes the most compression possable.... yes you kill the fire/fuel and hold it WOT then spin away.... i have 2 old school mazda testers and have done 50+ tests
