Three Link

So I am thinking of doing a three link rear end. Just wondering who has them and if you like them or not. I found on place to buy them online, or i could just make one. Is there anywhere else that sells them but here?

I've got one sitting on the shelf in my garage. Got it as part of a package deal of used parts, but never installed it. I've heard great things about them, but to be honest I just can't see any room for improvement right now. Plus, it involves welding, which I don't have ready access to. One of these days I might take the time to install it, but its not very high on my priority list anymore.

Someone who has actually driven one will probably be along shortly to give you a more qualified opinion.

so i have a small grasp of what they do. if it was streetable i would go for it, once i know more about it.

My right top semi trailing arm came off of the rear end, which my teacher welded back on. has this happened to anyone?

everyone at my school joked that it had like a lot of torque, to rip it off.

does anyone have a picture of it on their car? or could they produce a diagram?

The other thing I've heard about them is that they are VERY noisy. But then, most race parts are..

i thought it was the panhard that was supposedly noisy? it all depends on the noise, what kind of noise etc.

I've been running a tri-link and Panhard for about a year, and I think the setup is very good. I have Heim joints at the articulation points on both front and rear suspension, and when I first installed all that stuff there was a lot of clunking. I substituted Teflon-lined Heim joints at all locations and Voila! -- no more clunking.

The handling difference is noticeable. The rear end stays behind the front -- it doesn't try to pass the front end in the corners anymore.

Note that the G-Force arrangement will work with your OEM fuel tank. Some of the others out there can only be used with a fuel cell (or modified OEM fuel tank).
