Do you have pressure on the pedal when you depress it?

Sounds like a hydraulics problem. easy enough to fix with new master, slave and flexihose. I've done it on 4 cars, now. Cheapest price I've found is $80 from rockauto.com.

The exact same thing happened to a freind of mine. Stopped at a light, and when he tried to take off, the car wouldn't move. Center hub in the clutch disc was all that was left, the entire outer part had fallen apart.
Funny thing is, he was actually trying to take off very gently, since there was a cop behind him. I guess it shattered the disc on his last shift, before he stopped, but still had enough lining trapped between the flywheel and pressure plate to move the car.......

well i went outside.. i put down the clutch with 2 fingers it will go down.. but i think its always been like that.. my 1st gen isnt my everyday car.. its just what i love to drive lol but yeah, its pretty easy to push down.. would it be smart to replace the master and slave flexihose try that first then get like a 3 in 1 clutch kit... if i see nothing fixxed...
i drive a highly modded 2000 eclipse as my everyday so the clutch on both have always been way differnt and i have never seen another first gen to even befriend them and ask lol ill check back later
