For those of you who premix...
For a stand-alone premix, somewhere in the 1oz oil per gallon gas is generally deemed plenty. Racers often go a little heavier, adding 6oz oil to 5 gal gas.
The stock system varies from 600:1 to around 150:1 (when working correctly). For racing, closer to 100:1 is generally accepted as normal.
Using 1oz/gal gives you a 128:1 ratio, which is more than the stock setup provides at WOT.
Personally, I use the stock setup, and still add 1/2oz oil per gallon gas. Plugs are cheap, though I've never had an issue with fouling them. Engine rebuilds are not cheap.

If your going to only run premix run, a good premix like Idemitsu fuel lube for rotary engines. This stuff is almost clear looking and doesn't give you that burnt smell. They recommend 1oz. per gallon like everyone is saying
3oz per 5gals which is what Pinapple Racing recomends.
For hard runs or racing I go 1oz per gal.
(Redline Synthetic Smokeless Two-Cycle Lubricant) is what I use.
But any good 2 cycle oil will work fine.
