For those of you running wheel studs
What type did you buy and where did you buy them from?
I just got some new wheels and they suggest switching to wheels studs because of the width rim. Also, how do you install them?
Thanks for any help that is offered, I just spent a lot of time and money on these wheels and would hate to see them bouncing down the highway without me.

I bought mine at AIM Tire: American International Motorsports. Talk to Ron, tell him you want the:
RX-7 WHEEL STUD KITS
Description: Throw away the original 'lug bolts' used to hold the wheels on your first generation RX-7 and replace them with the easy to use RX-7 STUD KIT.
Kit includes 16 long studs and 16 open ended lug nuts.
$34.95 per kit
Fits 1979-1985 Mazda RX-7
LINK
Put some RED locktite on the threads and tighten with allen head wrench.

Awesome, thank you very much Rhinor61, that is what I was looking for.
Thank you everyone for your input. I will post pics of the wheels when I get them mounted, hopefully this week.

They screw in, if you have stripped disc or rear axle mounting plate. I highly recommend you replace the bad parts, cause the last thing you would want is for the wheels to fall off at 65+ mph.
Note: GSL-SE had factory install wheel studs that were pressed in at the factory. So I guess it could be posible to drill out the threaded holes and install pressed in wheel studs.
BUT you are doing this at your own risk. And I have never attempted to install press in wheel studs on a non-se car.

FYI:
The factory lug nuts is not 1 piece but actually comes in 2 pieces - bolt and lug end (or end cap). I lost an expensive rim once due to the lug nut coming apart (front wheel). It was too tight that no wheel shop nor welding could break it loose. At that time, it was cheaper for me to replace the rim. So I highly recommend replacing those aging factory lug nuts.

If you have a probelm finding the right wheel studs check this place out:
http://www.prestigewheel.com/Image204040c.asp
My stock wheel studs were too short to use on my BBS wheels. This place carries the same pitch and thread wheel bolts with acorn and rounded heads in many different sizes. I think mine wound up being 52mm..I'll have to check.
